In contemporary times, the discourse surrounding flight and the innate human yearning for movement and exploration resonates incessantly. Within this trajectory, individuals inevitably forsake elements of their being – their families, friendships, cherished memories, as well as the amalgamation of both bitter and sweet experiences. Occasionally, even the essence of their souls is left behind in the pursuit. This collective experience engenders a profound sensation of temporality, risk-taking, and the delicate balance between earthly grounding and celestial transcendence. It encapsulates the profound sentiment of mastering the intricate game that is our world.
Upon this path, individuals sometimes find themselves inextricably intertwined, yet on other occasions, they strive to outpace any potential pursuers. Throughout the annals of human history, the pursuit of territorial conquest and triumphs has remained a constant. However, in earnest contemplation, one must ponder: which of the conquerors from days of yore remain extant in the present moment? Out of those intrepid souls who, from the earliest epochs of civilization, aspired to lay claim to the Earth and secure its resources, and among the diverse communities who sought to outshine each other, only their names have managed to endure the sands of time.
In the end, we return to the very place from which we originated, with none of the demarcations that once separated us from others accompanying us on this homeward journey. Everything that we have painstakingly collected in our pockets, wherever we have etched our name and established our presence, shall, in due course, become the inheritance of others, all without the knowledge of our identities.

Conceptual Installation

Weightlessness

The “Weightlessness” art project is a conceptual installation that explores the theme of weightlessness in the context of a busy urban environment. The project was created using minimal materials, namely chalk and asphalt, and was executed in a public space, contrasting the bustling atmosphere of the street with the serene and ephemeral nature of the artwork.
The project’s philosophy is based on the idea of creating a space where viewers can momentarily escape the weight and noise of everyday life and experience a sense of peace and tranquility. The use of chalk to create the illusion of soft, floating forms and asphalt to represent the heaviness of the ground evokes the feeling of weightlessness, as if the viewer is suspended in mid-air.
The project’s concept is also informed by the idea of the “threshold,” a liminal space between two worlds. The artwork creates a threshold between the physical and the imaginary, the mundane and the magical. It invites viewers to step outside of their everyday reality and experience a different kind of world, one where weightlessness is possible.
The project was well-received by the public, with viewers of all ages interacting with the artwork in a playful and curious manner. Some even lay down on the whale and mermaid forms, eager to experience the sensación of weightlessness for themselves. The project’s success demonstrates the power of art to create moments of wonder and respite in the midst of everyday life.
